Shiver me timbers mateys! Me 103rd Craft Roulette card almost made me walk the plank! I spent way too much time on a mini shaker treasure chest for this...precious time slipped by, tick tock tick tock...way too much on my "to do" list this week, so I was up late last night finishing! I definitely had fun with this one, and I just knew I needed to finish it...I adored me pirate themed card!!!!!
I need to finish the inside, but for now...I hit the parameters for episode #303:
1. Interactive Card: The treasure chest really is a mini shaker card...not easy with this tiny image that I had to somehow get a window on without showing dim tape. yikes. I spent HOURS on this...next go around, I know what to do... knowing me...I might try again, but, if I don't, I will write it all in my Creative Companion. (I have started my SECOND book! 3 in!)
2. Herb and Spice Rack Colors: Me thinks: HOT BUTTERED RUM!!! (close your ears, for those who may one day receive a gift from me...) I plan to do a recipe page, using these elements for our very loved Hot Buttered Rum mix, one that we have provided year after year after year to family gatherings....So...me vessel is carrying nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves (plus some chili peppers, tumeric too, not found in me recipe)...all found in a spice cabinet!
3. Transportation: Me vessel of course!!! ("The Nightly Craft Rider")
4. Confetti: Me treasure! Gold coins, gems, pearls!!! All confetti sequins in me booty and scattered on in the sparkly (looks like salt, also in me spice rack) sand!
Me Mateys who helped me with me loot:
- Scrappy Boy (Pirate Ship Die, Designer Paper, and Stamps)
- Pirate Ship Die, Cute Kids Pirates (palm tree)
- Never Grow Up (Captain Hook)
- 3 Hour Cruise Tour 6x6 Paper Pack (ocean waves)
I'm quickly sharing me supplier here, I'm not affiliated with the company, just a good customer, so I'm not sure of the availability of the stamp sets individually, I'm glancing at the site, and I know I purchased all the sets involved quite some time ago! What I LOVE about Craft Roulette, is the fun in choosing what I'm going to play with! Scrappy Boy is one of my go to options. It all depends on my mood! I wasn't going to play this week, but the pirate ship spoke to me, and the rest fell into place!!!!
So...couple of things to share:
First TOMORROW! is the Kindred Stamps New Release for January 2026! I shared my Hallelujah! post on Monday, tomorrow the set goes LIVE along with 4 other really cool sets. I for one, plan to do a little shopping!!! If you aren't a member yet, you can see sneak peeks here: Kindred Stamps Fan Club .
Next line of business!!!! Tomorrow, Craft Roulette, Episode #304! Here's a link/invite:
I usually pick up after the live, due to time zone differences mainly. I need to get more YouTube savvy...One day, I might want to join in the "Chatterbox". The chatter starts early, and it's a fun bunch it sounds. I know, me for one, have made good friendships over the course of 103 entries. I miss my craft buddy, Janet, who passed away in October...I met her over a craft question at about my 30th card entry...just saying, having this community, or ANY community has been important. Whether it's through Craft Roulette, or some other group, challenge, etc., it's important to do some "me time". It's what has helped me through a very hard 2025! Til next week! :)
